The island's newest yet-to-be-built resort finally got its official name.

TPI Hospitality announced Friday that its 254-room resort signed an agreement with Margaritaville Enterprises to brand the project: Margaritaville Resort.

According to a press release, the resort will aim for a "casual luxe" atmosphere while maintaining the authenticity of the area.

The restaurants within the resort complex will feature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, it said.

The beach club restaurant and open-to-the-public restaurant also got their names today: The LandShark Beach Club will have a 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill inside for use by beach club guests; The public restaurant will be a JWB Bar and Grill which can seat 100 and will have "decor reminiscent of Estero and San Carlos Island's rich history." A coffee cafe is planned for the area near the pedestrian bridge, and will be called the Coconut Telegraph Coffee Shop.

The hotel has its own restaurant on its terrace.

"The Times Square section of Fort Myers (sic) is known for its great food, entertainment and fun - attributes that are synonymous with Margaritaville," said John Cohlan, chief executive officer of Margaritaville, in the press release.

The Margaritaville Resort has a planned opening date of 2021. The brand has 12 lodging locations and more than 60 restaurant venues.

TPI Hospitality will continue to develop, own and operate the resort, the release said.
