Zoomers offers students a fun welcome back to school
August 8, 2018

Students in Lee County will head back to school this Friday but will get one more taste of summer next week as Zoomers puts on a bash for kids and their parents.

"Zoomers' Back to School Bash is a way to celebrate the beginning of a new school year with friends and family," said Juliana Metzner, communication coordinator at Pushing the Envelope Marketing & Public Relations. "The focus of our event is fun for all ages."

Zoomers, an indoor/outdoor family fun park at 17455 Summerlin Road, will hold its Back to School Bash from 5-11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17. Wristbands will be $15 with unlimited go-karts, attractions, and mini golf.

"Plus, Big Mama and the Wild Bunch from B103.9's morning show will be on hand playing music and giving away all kinds of freebies," Metzner said. "We'll be giving away annual passes every hour, too, and a $250 Zcard grand prize."

You can use Zcards like cash inside the park.

Zoomers has become a very popular entertainment center in Lee County and admission is always free. Guests can purchase a Z-Card in any amount and pay as they go or purchase a wristband for all-day, unlimited rides.

Zoomers has many rides and choices for all ages.

"Everyone is always surprised at just how much there is to do at Zoomers," Metzner said. "(It is) an 18-acre indoor/outdoor assortment of rides, games and attractions. Not only does Zoomers have a huge arcade, we also have bumper boats, lots of go-karts, mini golf and more.

"Plus, the new Sidetracked Bar and Grille is now open so kids and adults alike can enjoy food and drinks while playing until their hearts are content."

Located in the center of the park, Sidetracked is an outdoor oasis with 12 TVs, pool and air hockey tables and free table games. Beverages include soft specialty drinks, ice cold beer, wine, and cocktails.

Food items include pizza, wraps, burgers, wings and even a very popular salmon salad.

Of course you can always get your scream on with the gravity defying cobra roller coaster. Take a seat behind the wheel and determine your own speed with their many venues of Go Karts.

How about the ultimate water balloon wars? Check out the battle stations equipped with water balloon launchers and defensive tactics that make this wet competition fun.

Still not wet enough? They have a wet and wild pool with bumper boats and squirt guns that you can really get soaked with.

All this and so much more like the 18 hole Voodoo Island Mini golf, fun arcade, midway rides, tilt a whirl, and the Hippo water slide. Go ahead and get your feet wet at Zoomers.

"My favorite part is helping families have fun," Metzner said. "Zoomers is all about fun for all ages. There are activities for middle and high school kids like go-karts, mini golf, and the arcade, but also midway rides and other fun for the smaller kids."

Zoomers can host large or small events in their party rooms, which feature panoramic views of the park and surrounding areas, making it perfect for parties, retreats or meetings, with everything you need all in one place.

"A lot of families visit Fort Myers Beach and Zoomers is something fun they can do while they are in town," Metzner said. "When you're tired of the beach (or) maybe need to get out of the sun for a bit, Zoomers is the perfect place to go."
