Miss the crooners? Old-school comedy?

A local entertainment organization brings back the good old days of entertainment, everything from the music of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra to the laughs only Joan Rivers or Don Rickles can deliver.

"Yesteryear Entertainment specializes in high-end, award-winning impersonators performing individually or as a group," said Jerry Nolan, event coordinator. "What surprises people most is how good they are - close your eyes and you believe Dean, Frank or Neil Diamond is in the room with you."

This popular entertainment troupe has been welcomed on Fort Myers Beach for more than six years, hosting 34 shows. Each show offers a talented selection of many of your favorite crooners and comedy bygone favorites.

Be on the lookout for ole blue eyes at the Sinatra Show at St. Raphael's Episcopal Church at 5601 Williams Drive on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

Don't forget to put on your blue suede shoes for Sammy Davis Jr. and the Elvis Rock & Roll Party on Feb. 2. You can know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em with the Luke Bryan & Kenny Rogers Show on Feb. 3 & 4. It's gonna be so good with the Neil Diamond & Joan Rivers Show on March 2-4.

These three shows will be at held at 7:30 p.m. at the Fort Myers Beach Moose Club at 19090 San Carlos Blvd. Tickets range from $35 - $40 per person and can be purchased by calling Nolan at 239-810-4587 or emailing him at jgn56bklyn@yahoo.com.

Nolan will eagerly answer all your questions and can even provide a seating chart.

"My favorite part is when our guests are leaving, smiling and telling me how much fun they had," Nolan said. "Even months later. when I see them at Fresh Catch Bistro or Junkanoo, they still talk to me about how much they enjoyed the experience."

Yesteryear Entertainment Show is like nothing you have seen before. They have earned a huge fan following and you can see them performing not only on Fort Myers Beach but, in Cape Coral at Cape Cabaret, at the Laugh In Comedy Cafe and Seven Lakes Association, just to name a few of their many Florida locations.

Why are they asked back year after year?

"The difference is we bring Vegas and New York to your town - Yes, we have won awards in New York City at the San Gennaro Festival, with over 20 Dean Martin impersonators from around the country competed and Robert Cabella, our Dean) won and at the Sunburst Convention in Orlando with over 100 impersonators. Michael Walter, our Don Rickles, won," Nolan said. "We thrive on bringing the best out there and we hope our public agrees."

Tickets for the Fort Myers Beach shows are now on sale.

If you can't wait until February, Yesteryear Entertainment will present "Dean and Dom" at Cape Cabaret, at 4725 Vincennes Blvd. on Jan. 19. Doors open at 4 p.m. with happy hour from 4-5:30 p.m. Dinner will be from 4-8 p.m. with show time set for 7.
